February 22 marks the first year of the death of Fr. Damaso Lambers, considered by many the best friends of the prisoners. Confiar and O Companheiro, always linked to this charismatic priest, will point out this with a tribute to the man who dedicated his whole life to support the prisoners and their families, as well as the victims, and was one of the first people in Portugal to make contact with restorative justice. Father Damaso will be remembered in a ceremony at the end of the afternoon of the 22 Cascais Cultural Center, where the Father Damaso Prize will be presented. to distinguish, annually, the best research work in the area of restorative justice as well as actions of people and institutions in the area of prevention, inclusion, and reintegration. This ceremony will also feature testimonies of several people who have been touched by his action, and with a message from the President of the Republic. This day will also be marked with a dance performance and voice on restorative justice, entitled Blooming Justice, and with a solemn Mass, which will be celebrated at 6.00 pm in the Parish Church of Cascais.
